If you are looking at getting some PR Leeds services, you are probably wondering about what is available that can help benefit you. Different companies offer different approaches and it is worth having a look at their websites to get a good idea what is best for you.

In a sense, people do public relations on a daily basis, choosing what image to convey to a person and the words in which to express that image. When first contacting a company it is important to ask yourself what you want to achieve and the best way of achieving it.

They will often have different packages depending on the type of company. If you are just starting out, your needs will be very different to a company that is already established. In the case of the new company, it is often about finding the best way to spread the word and to make people aware of them.

When people think of PR, people sadly often remember what are known as gaffes. In simple terms, a failure to communicate can really hit a product, especially if they are branded as crap or tacky. One misplaced word can hit a company for years, so it is vital to have good consultants who can help train you on using the right words at the right time.

It is probably best to go with a local company, especially one that you can meet up with regularly for face to face talks. Being part of the local community is a great way to get good PR and a company should help you organise events to achieve this.

Once you are aware of what you want, you should soon be able to find a PR Leeds company that meets your needs. There are a number of companies available in the phone directory or in listing sites online.

Desperate Housewives Season 7: Can New Cast Members Wake Up Sleepy Soap?

Online Promotion No Comments
by Rachel Manus

Now this is the guilty pleasure of the TV world. This is the nighttime soap opera. This is the one show that you can't seem to turn away from. It has so many juicy secrets and it seems that women and men eat it up. Yes, I said men! Would you believe that more men have written about this show then women? It is not what you think either. You would think that they are talking about the girls but they want to know what is going on as much as the women.

So what do think about how they started the season? Many viewers were not happy that they went in fast forward for three years and many were not happy with the changes that were made to the characters. They did eventually put it back together a bit. Eva Longoria Parkers (Gabrielle Solis) character was the one that many complained about. They took this gorgeous and well-dressed women then made her this chubby bunny. That is one of the many comments about her character.

Also, the plot line seemed to some to be a bit dull when it first started back up this season, but it looks as though they got it back. The plot thickened when Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan) came back with her new and crazy husband (Neil McDonough) better known to us all as Dave Williams. Other characters on the show did not get such a warm welcome back though. Some were very unhappy with what they had done to Carlos Solis as well as Kyle MacLachlan or Orson that is. Many felt that making him a kleptomaniac was not the best way to go, so what do you think?

While approaching that itchy seven year anniversary bodes trouble for even the most happily married couples, the seventh year is also a vulnerable time for hit TV shows, such as Desperate Housewives. It is natural for long-time viewers to become bored with a show's characters and irritated by their quirks, while craving something new and exciting.

Although new cast members have rotated through Desperate Housewives since its second season, new additions to the cast in season 7 could determine if the Sunday night staple will return for season eight - or head to divorce court.

The Nielsen prime-time TV Ratings survey reported in zap2it.com reveals Desperate Housewives managed to snag the #10 ratings slot for the 2009-10 TV season, barely squeaking past #11, NCIS: Los Angeles.

But fiercer competition for viewers could overwhelm Desperate Housewives this year, with an unusually high number of tantalizing new TV shows set to launch, many of which boast the pedigrees of some of Hollywood's most talented actors and writers, including Kathy Bates, Maura Tierney and David E. Kelley.

Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry went fishing for top talent, too, successfully netting three charismatic actors, Brian Austin Green, Vanessa Williams and Lainie Kazan, popular stars who could prove big enough fish to revive the sleepy show.

Gossip Girl Season 4 To Have Chuck Bass Or Not?

by Rachel Manus

Gossip Girl Season 4 was already assured months ago by the CW. Since there will be a Gossip Girl Season 4, the fans of the cult teen soap didn't seem to have much to worry about. However, the final moments of Season 3 did give them a lot to fret about. The show will go on, but if it goes on without certain characters and actors, there will be a lot less to gossip about. Therefore, there is a lot of fear for Chuck Bass going into Gossip Girl Season 4 - but it may be premature worry.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

The season finale "Last Tango, Then Paris" had a lot of twists and turns for the central couples. The Chuck/Blair pairings reached new highs and lows - more often lows - as Chuck gave Blair one more chance to be with him at the Empire State building. The gambit was actually going to work, until Blair got distracted by a fairly sizable event. But since Chuck didn't know that, he turned to an unlikely source to comfort him.

Gossip Girl Season 4 cannot possibly be more troubling for Chuck and Blair than it was this past season and in this season finale. It was one thing to have their romantic reunion delayed, then seemingly dashed forever due to mistakes and bad judgment. But the final tragedy for Chuck Bass came when he drunkenly stumbled onto some muggers.

The results left many fans wondering if Gossip Girl Season 4 would even have Chuck involved. Given the endless heap of misery bestowed on Chuck and Blair, fans would be apocalyptic if Chuck's time ended like that. But executive producer Stephanie Savage told Entertainment Weekly's Michael Auseillo that Ed Westwick wasn't going anywhere.

Gossip Girl Season 4 will be spending some time in Paris to start off, and Westwick has already shot scenes there with Blake Lively and Leighton Meester. By that account, it sounds like Chuck Bass isn't dead - yet Savage teased that flashbacks and ghosts have appeared before.

That may not do much to assure fans who fear a Gossip Girl Season 4 without Chuck Bass. Even if Westwick will still be around somehow, they wouldn't want him to be a ghost or a flashback character. But since a lot of main characters often get shot in season finales and survive, this instance might be no different.

For now, followers must say XOXO to Gossip Girl Season 3. Now they wait to see what kind of Season 4 they will get in September - with or without Chuck Bass among the living.

Desperate Housewives Season 7: The Roles Of Austin Green, Vanessa Williams And Lainie Kazan

That is one of the many comments about her character.

How Hunky Handyman Brian Austin Green could help Desperate Housewives in Season 7: Real life Meagan Fox husband Brian Austin Green, formerly of CW's 90210, could draw female fans hungry for new male eye candy, as well as voyeuristic viewers drawn to cat fights. A classic hunk ala Mike the plumber, Green will capture female viewers who enjoy looking at handsome, cut men wearing tight clothes - in other words, most women - along with gay men. On an emotional and psychological level, Green will be the object of affection in a love (or, more accurately, lust) triangle pitting Martha Stewart clone Bree against Wisteria Lane's newest resident, Renee (played by Vanessa Williams). Both Bree and Renee will be depicted as television's favorite new clich, the cougar, a role-reversal that will appeal to some viewers and annoy others.

How Beautiful Vixen Vanessa Williams could help Desperate Housewives in Season 7: No stranger to controversy, actress and singer Vanessa Williams (most recently cast of ABC's Ugly Betty) was the first African American to be crowned Miss American, only to resign before her term ended after nude photos of Williams taken before she won her pageant title were printed in Penthouse magazine. Still beautiful at 47, Williams is cast in season 7 as a sly, foxy neighbor, a role that had been one of the show's key archetypes before realtor Edie Britt (played by Nicolette Sheridan) met her untimely death in season 5. Sheridan's departure left a gaping hole in the show since even the greedy Gabby was nicened up a bit after she became a mommy. Williams could draw female viewers who need a woman they love to hate - beside their mother-in-law.

How Golden Oldie Lainie Kazan could help Desperate Housewives in Season 7: Lainie Kazan, who played the mother in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, may be a spring chicken compared to 88-year-old media darling Betty White, but she still qualifies for senior citizen discounts at the Hometown Buffet. The 70-year-old Kazan will play a business owner and new neighbor of former Wisteria Lane resident Susan Mayer (the addle-brained wife of Mike the plumber), who is temporarily exiled from the seemingly cursed street due to financial problems. The mature Kazan could attract more literate viewers of all ages who appreciate seasoned, nuanced actors, recalling a time when being on TV required more skill than squeezing into a size 0 dress.

Gossip Girl Season 4 - An Exclusive Sneak Peek At CW’s (part 3)

by Rachel Manus

Later that night, Blair and Serena meet up at the Palace hotel. We realize that Blair acts the way she does towards Serena mostly because she is really angry at Serena for just up and leaving one day for boarding school. The scene ends with the two agreeing to work on their friendship.

I'm not going to go into too much about the next scene, because it is really vital to the story. Let's just say that we talk a little more about what went on between Serena and Nate. Oh, and we find out just how sleazy Chuck really is. Dan, meanwhile, is at the hotel bar, trying to find Serena. She runs into him, drops her Sidekick (by the way, EVERYBODY in this show has a Sidekick), and he picks it up.

The next day he tries to return it to her, but the hotel's front desk attendant will have none of that. When Serena walks by, he asks her if she knows Dan. Of course she knows him, she bumped into him the night before when she was filthy drunk! They have a moment, then Serena's mother shows up, proclaiming to the world that she found a brilliant dress for Serena to wear to Blair's party. Uh oh, but Serena is not going to the party! Why? Because she suddenly has plans with Dan! Dan is ecstatic that he has a date with this goddess that he has worshipped for so long. The date will be a concert that his father's band is performing in. Hooray!

Blair's party is a bit, but Jenny seems to be getting a little too close to Chuck. He "loves freshmen." Poor Jenny. You can't help but feel protective of her, as she seems so innocent and inexperienced around all of the juniors and seniors around her. Serena's date with Dan seems to be vaguely awkward at first; the first thing he does is have her meet his father. He then gets a text from Jenny-she needs help from Chuck! Serena decides to tag along, saying, "If it's Chuck, it's not okay."

They find Jenny and Chuck together on the roof of the party building, with Jenny trying to get Chuck to leave her alone (no success). Small fight between Chuck and Dan, and the scene ends with Chuck threatening Serena's social life. In this kind of show, that's serious business.

The show ends with Dan, Serena and Jenny riding off in a taxi; Blair looking incredulous; Chuck looking vengeful; and Nate looking depressed.

Overall, I give this show a 10/10. The camerawork is done very well, the acting is excellent, and the storyline is fantastic. Whoever picked out the music has perfect taste. Be sure to watch the show when it premieres, you will not be disappointed!

Gossip Girl Season 4 - An Exclusive Sneak Peek At CW’s (part 1)

A new season of television is upon us, bringing many new shows (and many new seasons of old ones). A particularly hyped program is the new Gossip Girl show, which is modeled after the book series. The series is based upon-what else?-gossip. But it goes beyond that.

It is about a group of young socialites (think pre-tabloids Paris Hilton), who spend their time partying, shopping, and basically just living the high life that many young teens wish that they could break into. On the other hand, there is the teenage drama element that factors in; the girls deal with relationship problems, broken friendships, betrayals, and unsupportive families.

The series itself is named after the narrator-the writer of a gossip blog which focuses on the celebutantes of the story.

If you are planning on watching the show and do not want any spoilers, do not read any further than this paragraph. I will sum up my rating here: acting gets a 9/10, storyline gets a 10/10, and faithfulness to the books gets a 7/10. If you are an extreme fan of the books, you will probably not be disappointed.

If you did not read the books but you enjoy this type of show, then you will definitely not be disappointed. If you would like an exclusive review of the first episode itself, continue reading. I do not give every single detail, but I do go over the general storyline and plot points.

The show opens with the arrival of Serena, who has just returned to New York from boarding school. We are not sure why exactly she left or why she has returned, but we do know that everybody is excited. Her best friend, Blair, is slightly pleased when she finds out. More than anything, though, she is nervous; rumor has it that her boyfriend, Nate, has a thing for Serena, and Blair naturally does not want to lose Nate. Following me so far?

Five minutes in and we are at a society party. Everybody is dressed to the nines and the mothers of the show are being distant to their daughters. (Paraphrasing Blair's mother, "If you are going to wear one of my fashions, you must tell me so that I can fit it properly!") Serena arrives and leaves in under a minute, and everybody is shocked that she did not get drunk.

Dexter Season 5

Dexter finished his fourth season in style. I will not reveal any details about the end to not truncate the incredible practice but if discuss in very general terms what lies ahead in the fifth season of the show.

It is clear that Dexter 's life has been evolving for so long that his confrontation with Trinity the ah shown a reflection of its possible future. Now is the moment when the serial murderer more fun in recent years begin to reflect about their lifestyle and consider whether it is possible to prolong his life with this lie or offered himself to making it happier.

However, the prospect of seeing a Dexter out of his normal field of operations walk from town to town justice would be starting something with tremendous potential narrative.

What do you think we can expect in the fifth season of Dexter? Will he find the murderer a great way to live in peace? Or will devote himself to his favorite hobby?

The truth is that this series and is quite time in transmission and has always made each season to capture the attention of his followers, is sure this time is no exception but it is relevant to think that a twist in the story will change the course of things.

For those that missed last night's season finale, it was a shocker that no one seen coming. Dexter spent the majority of the show hunting down "Trinity", while the Miami-Dade PD was hot on the heels of the same after discovering that the murders that seemed to come in threes actually came in fours.

Cody and Asher went to Disneyland with their paternal grandparents, and Rita was on Dexter's tail to take her on a honeymoon. He agreed, and she was going to fly down to th keys and he would meet here there. While Rita was focused on their relationship ever since she kissed her hunky neighbor, Dexter has been preoccupied with Arthur Mitchell, the "Trinity Killer." His preoccupation grew, as Mitchell discovered Dexter's true identity. It is crucial at this point for the show's main serial killer to off Mitchell in order to save himself or his family.

Desperate Housewives Season 7 On ABC

Do you think that Desperate Housewives is getting desperate for new plots? Or do you think that they are still on the right road?

Is it the gorgeous women and the hot men? Or perhaps it is the plot and idea that we all are sure is true and that is that you never really know what is going on behind closed doors, right?

What is it that makes these families so intriguing to viewers? Is it the comfort that all families are crazy? Perhaps it is that no such thing as normal exists, perhaps it makes our lives seem a bit more "Normal". Although I will say that some of the performances are for me a bit much, it does make me feel better as a mother.

Each time I happen to 'watch' the show, I would be in awe of the big and beautiful houses the characters live in. They look like vacation house rentals definitely. And very beautiful ones at that. I am not a big fan, don't get the wrong idea. But I have come across lots of coverage news on this particular show starring housewives with different problems and I so want to know, what is their force factor, really.

The issues with life that they have, never-ending scandals and whatnot, and many more. I may sleep through the show, because there are some female counterparts in my family household loving to watch this. Therefore, I have to 'suffer' through the ordeal of watching. But then again, the suffering ends once I look at the show on a deeper level. Heard that there have been so many seasons to it as well, and having season 6 in running currently. If a show has been into its 6th season, that means that Desperate Housewives DVDs are indeed selling like hotcakes.

Of course, I do not catch all the seasons, but I know some people whom do, and this article is sort of like trying to understand their appreciation of the show. Maybe it's like my love for CSI. But every episode has a different case. Dissecting Desperate Housewives the show, it also has a special 'case' of the different characters lives for every episode. And the more you watch, the more you wanna know what happens next. Whether they live to find out or they will be buried into secrecy. And oh yeah, like what I have heard, whether the characters remain to be married or not. Sounds like a good guessing game to them, no? With all this being said, I can understand the statement my friend said about Desperate Housewives DVDs selling like hotcakes. The audience probably wants to catch up on the previous series and reconnect with the recent ones. I see a 7th season coming. Perhaps.

Gossip Girl Season 4 - An Exclusive Sneak Peek At CW’s (Part 2)

We find out that Serena left early so that she could see her brother at the hospital. Fade to black.

The next day, we find out that her brother is in the hospital because he tried to commit suicide. We also find out that their mother has hidden him away so that nobody in society knows the truth about what happened. This is when the tension between Serena and her mother starts to come up, as Serena obviously does not approve of her mother's actions.

We switch to a scene with Dan, his sister Jenny, and their father. We find out that their parents are divorced, their father is somewhat anti-capitalist, and they are probably going to be the token "out of the loop" characters for this show. Jenny is addressing invitations for an exclusive party, and Dan is shocked when he finds out that she is invited.

Oh, but she is only invited because she is addressing the invitations! And thus, their status is cemented. Dan also reads Gossip Girl's blog, and has a fascination with Serena.

From here on out, the show hints that Serena and Nate may have had a past together (but Serena wants no future with him), Nate's friend Chuck believes that Nate should cheat on Blair, and Dan really has the hots for Serena. Oh, and Chuck hates Dan (probably because he is lower class).

Lunch break at their school. Serena walks up to Blair, where Blair and her friends are handing out invitations for the oh-so-exclusive party. There is, however, no invite for Serena. Drama! Serena tells Blair that she wants to meet her later on to talk, but Blair smirks and says that she has plans with Nate. Serena holds her gaze and gives her a time and place.

How could Blair refuse? We are informed by our gossip girl narrator that a power struggle is in the works between the two, and that neither are going to go down without a fight.

We go to the mall where Jenny is trying on dresses for the party. She texts her brother and asks for help. While she and her brother are looking at dresses, Serena and her brother (Serena pulled him out of the hospital for a little break) show up, and Jenny gives her an invitation. Serena gives Jenny some valuable fashion advice, and Dan hides. We also see some possibility for a romance between Serena's brother and Jenny (which I personally think would work out really well).
