Five Tips To Draw In More Traffic To Your Firm’s Blog
July 29, 2010 12:06 pm Online PromotionLegal professionals regularly inform me that despite the fact that they put out the work to write and maintain a blawg, they find it difficult to attract new followers. I have created a list of five strategies that with just a small amount of effort, will help give extra visibility to your legal blog.
1. Submit the blawg to pertinent blog directories. Even though this might appear to be obvious, I am stunned at how many lawyers fail to take this step. Submitting your law firm's blog to directories will help to provide people searching for your blog material the potential to come across it. Simply perform a search for "Legal Blog Directories" and commence submitting.
2. Take advantage of Twitter to tweet out your blawg content. The significant aspect with Twitter is that like-minded individuals can easily discover one another and share tips and content. You can easily use a service, such as twitterfeed, to instantly tweet your posts as you publish them to your site.
3. LinkedIn Groups and Facebook. Spreading your content and ideas with fellow law firms and group members by way of LinkedIn and Facebook is a terrific way to gain additional exposure. Start out by joining relevant LinkedIn groups. Discuss your articles with the LinkedIn groups. If you produce intriguing material, people will visit to read and subscribe.
4. Comment on various other Firm's blawgs. The very character of blogging lends itself to interacting and conversation. Carve out time to go through other interesting blog articles and remark on these, sharing your ideas. DO NOT SPAM. The idea of this exercise is to include yourself in the blog community and participate in the dialogue, not spam others.
5. Use social bookmark sites to submit your most effective blawg posts. Distributing a great post to websites like Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit, and Delicious can generate visitors to your blawg. If individuals like the articles you write, they will "vote" for it. This will provide new eyeballs to your posts.
